Long after the expansion of the activities of psychologists and counselors who give unscientific and sometimes dangerous advice on social networks raised concerns, we finally see a response from the responsible institution. The organization of the psychology and counseling system in Israel announced the development of a mechanism for issuing a special license for professional activity in cyberspace and announced that it will continue the activities of unqualified people who harm people through judicial channels. The presence of psychologists, counselors, psychoanalysts and psychiatrists on Instagram and the X social network has often provoked user reactions; Especially when some offer controversial advice about marriage and sex, parenting or mental health. Publishing biographies of patients and details about treatment sessions in the public space has also been criticized. Alireza Agayosi, head of the organization of the psychology and counseling system in the country, announced on Friday in an interview with IRNA that this organization is following two paths to organize and monitor psychological services in cyberspace. According to him, in the first stage, a proposal was submitted to the central council of the organization to grant a special license to people with the professional skills necessary for training and providing services in cyberspace. The goal is to enable tracking of their activities and users to identify individuals approved by the organization. In the event of a violation, it will be possible to register and track the complaint. The second path is dedicated to locating and tracking people who operate without professional qualifications and, according to the organization, may cause extensive or deep harm to people. Referring to the holding of coordination meetings with legal officials, Mr. Yousfi said that the organization of the psychological system talked with officials of the judiciary, the Attorney General's Office, the Tehran Prosecutor's Office and the Tehran District Ministry of Justice in order to provide a mechanism for the introduction of "harmful" people and to prevent them from continuing their activities.
