US Treasury Secretary Scott Best issued a statement on Wednesday, November 4, in X, warning individuals and companies that continue to support the Iranian regime will face sanctions from Washington.
"As we have said many times, in the context of economic exclusion, you are either with us or against us," Besant wrote. We know where you are and we will impose sanctions on those who continue to support the Iranian regime, whether on land, at sea or in the air."
These statements were made at the same time that the US Treasury Department announced new sanctions against an Indian-based chain and a Turkish company. The Ministry of Finance announced that a network led by Sunil Kumar Sharma and his wife, Jasprit Priti Shahid, helped save naval operations and circumvent international restrictions by providing fake flags and certificates to Iranian oil-carrying vessels. The Turkish company "Fugo Grand Services" was also included in the list of sanctions for providing ground services to Iranian airlines within the framework of American sanctions.
