China announced that it has contacted America and Russia regarding the possibility of holding a tripartite meeting between the leaders of these three countries, a meeting that, if realized, would bring together US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in a joint meeting. Mao Ning, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said at the ministry's daily press conference on Wednesday, November 4, in response to an AFP reporter's question about the report by the "Financial Times" newspaper that senior officials in Washington, Moscow and Beijing are trying to arrange such a meeting: "The Chinese side is in contact with the relevant parties regarding the meeting of the leaders of China, Russia and the United States."
