According to the IRNA news agency, the Public Relations of the Revolutionary Guards announced in its message number 20 that four oil tankers were destroyed due to a "collision with mines" while trying to cross a prohibited route south of the Strait of Hormuz.
The Revolutionary Guards also announced that they stopped two more ships for what they called a violation of traffic restrictions. The name, flag and ownership of the oil tankers and ships mentioned are not specified in this notice.
Another part of this announcement said that the air defense system of the Revolutionary Guards Air Force targeted and shot down an American MQ-9 UAV over the Strait of Hormuz at 4:30 am.
