The US congressional midterm elections began on Tuesday, November 3.
On Tuesday morning, AFP released images of the beginning of the voting process in the city of Anchorage, Alaska. In this election, American citizens vote for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and about a third of the 100 seats in the Senate. Republicans currently hold majorities in both chambers. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been leading a massive campaign for the victory of the Republican Party in these elections since about two months ago. The Iran war and its effect on the increase in fuel prices is considered one of the central axes of these elections.
