The sculpture of "Wada Akhir" (Soldier's Farewell to Mother) in Kerman's Republic Boulevard depicts the scene of Sohrab's farewell to his mother, Tehmina, in one of the most famous narratives of Ferdowsi's Shahnama. A story known in Persian literature as "Kinat Rustam and Sorab". Abulqasem Fardubsi tells in Shahnama that Sohrab, after knowing the identity of his father, Rustam, travels to Iran to find him. Tahmina is not aware of the bitter fate that awaits her when she expels her son. Sohrab finally confronts his father on the battlefield and Rostam, not knowing his identity, inflicts a fatal wound on his body. Rustam's knowledge that he killed his own child makes this story one of the saddest tragedies in Shahnameh. This character was created by Mohada Nik Parjam and Mohammed Hussain of Murian. The work is made of fiberglass and is three meters and 60 centimeters high.
