Despite extensive government security measures and restrictions, the photos published on social media show that a group of young people gathered on Iransher Street in "Tehran" dressed in "Halloween" clothes and makeup and danced and sang along with a group of street musicians to the sounds of traditional street songs of old Tehran. This gathering took place in a situation where, according to a report obtained by the Persian Independent, on the night of Friday, 8th of September, uniformed and Basij forces stormed this area and the artists' park with "sticks and batons", closed the cafes and arrested at least two people while beating the passers-by. An approach that could not prevent the presence of young people in the capital's public spaces and connect the Halloween ceremony with urban vitality.
