Mohsen Razai, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, announced on Saturday, October 31: in Tehran they are waiting for the "last response of the United States" to the conditions set by the Islamic Republic and said: "Maybe they will respond as early as tomorrow."
Razai said that the issue of passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be monitored if Washington's response is received, but he emphasized: "The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened in any way unless our conditions are met."
Regarding Tehran's conditions, he said that the Islamic Republic has 7 main conditions, which, considering the sub-conditions, reach a total of 11, and all of them must be implemented. Razai previously said that Tehran's terms were conveyed to the American side through Abbas Arakhchi.
Razai also emphasized that the agreement between Tehran and Muscat on the creation of an intermediate lane for the passage of commercial ships does not mean the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the operation of this lane depends on the implementation of the conditions of the Islamic Republic and Tehran's decision to reopen the Strait. Ebrahim Razai, a member of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, also said earlier in a conversation with "Iran Observer" that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on the agreement and full implementation of the Islamic Republic's conditions by the other side.
