Abbas Argachi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to German Chancellor Friedrich Merts' new statements about the economic costs of Iran's war on Europe, published a message on the X social network, in which he mentioned Merts' previous position regarding military attacks in Iran and warned that there would be no more red lines. Mertes announced on Friday, October 30, during his trip to Asia and at the end of his visit to South Korea, that the increase in energy prices as a result of the Iran war imposes more than 100 billion euros in additional costs to companies and consumers in Europe during the last eight months. Referring to the economic consequences of this conflict for Europe, the German Chancellor said that Germany has direct economic interests to end the war as soon as possible. He also emphasized that this conflict cannot be resolved by military means and must be ended through diplomacy and negotiations, a position that, according to him, includes Israel. In response to these statements, Arakhchi pointed to Mertes' position during Israel's military attacks on Iran in June 1404. On June 17, 1404, on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in Canada and in a conversation with the German television channel "ZDF", Mertes described the Israeli attacks as "the dirty work that Israel does for the Israeli arm and shows respect for all of us. The Islamic Foreign Minister wrote in his message: "100 billion euros is nothing compared to the terrible and devastating blow that the powerful Iranian armed forces will inflict on those who dare to attack our nation. "There will be no more red lines."
