Spokesman of the Arab coalition forces: the Houthis' drone was intercepted and destroyed in the skies of Mecca.
Turki al-Malki, the official spokesman for the Arab coalition forces supporting the Yemeni government, announced on Friday morning, November 8, that a Houthi drone was intercepted and destroyed in the skies over Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The statement did not provide details on the possible target of the UAV, the exact location of the interception or possible damage. The Saudi-led coalition previously announced the sighting and interception of the Houthi missile over Mecca on September 17, after which various Islamic countries condemned the drone attack on the holy places for Muslims.
