The Chamber of Guilds of Iran, in publishing a notice, prohibited holding Halloween ceremonies and celebrations in public places and professional associations, as well as advertising and selling related items.
In this notice, addressed to the directors and supervisors of the trade unions, it is stated that "it is forbidden to hold any ceremony, celebration, gathering, promotion or sale of items related to Halloween". The Chamber of Guilds announced the reason for this restriction as "protection of the cultural, religious and social affairs of the country".
According to this notice, the police monitoring the public places will deal with the offending units, and cafes, restaurants and other commercial units may be presented to the judicial authorities if they hold or advertise Halloween events. Responsibility for the violation will be directly the responsibility of the operator of the trade union.
This ban was announced while reports of the sealing of some cafes and the forced cancellation of some Halloween-related art programs were published before the announcement. In November 1404, Iran's Chamber of Guilds also announced a similar restriction on holding events, promoting and selling items related to Halloween. By repeating this ban this year, in addition to celebrating, advertising and selling items related to Halloween were also declared subject to the action.
