French President Emmanuel Macron, in a conversation with Hugo Travers, a French journalist and founder of digital media, talked about the serious injuries of police officers during the protests and called for calm to be restored on both sides.
Macron said: "I saw injured policemen; "very young policemen who lost 14 teeth. He also mentioned the police officers who were injured in the face and some of them do not know if they can have children or not.
"I don't want to go into details, but there were terrible scenes," added the French president.
