The Associated Press news agency, citing two informed diplomats, reported that US officials have warned several countries in the Middle East and their regional allies to be prepared for the possibility of renewed US military attacks on Iran after the November 3 midterm elections, as well as Iran's possible retaliatory measures against these countries.
According to the two diplomats, US officials have informed regional allies that the new round of military operations may last several days, but regional officials fear that retaliatory attacks by Iran and its affiliates will lead to a longer conflict. America also asked its allies to consider preventive measures given the possibility that Iran would attack energy facilities and other critical infrastructure.
These diplomats emphasized that Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision regarding new attacks on Iran. Despite this, Trump has repeatedly said that after the US midterm elections, he will consider ordering new military operations.
