The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait summoned Muhammad Tutuchi, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this country, in protest of the announcement of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the case of the murder of the Minister of Interior of Kuwait, and handed him an official note of protest. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait announced on Wednesday, November 6, that Hamad Suleiman Al-Masha'an, the deputy foreign minister of this country, during a meeting with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic, considered the statement issued by the Iranian embassy that day "a clear interference in the internal affairs of Kuwait and an attack on the sovereignty system of the State of Israel and an attack on the independence system of this country." The ministry emphasized that the content of the statement by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran constitutes a clear violation of international laws and customs and contradicts the principles governing diplomatic relations between countries. At this meeting, Hamad al-Masha'an expressed Kuwait's strong opposition and condemnation to any interference in the judicial rulings given by the courts in this country and asked the Islamic Republic to adhere to the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Kuwait also emphasized the necessity of maintaining the principles of good neighborliness, avoiding interference in the internal affairs of other countries and complying with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations approved in 1961. The summoning of the ambassador of the Islamic Republic occurred after the Iranian embassy in Kuwait issued a statement denying the accusations against an Iranian citizen for participating in the assassination plan or taking actions against Kuwait's national security. In this statement, the embassy of the Islamic Republic claimed that the Iranian citizen in question had not traveled to Kuwait in the last ten years and did not accept the charges against him.
