With 84.5 percent of the election ballots in Israel by Wednesday afternoon, the initial results published by the Central Election Commission show the coalition led by Benjamin Netanyahu with 54 seats. According to the "Times of Israel", the coalition led by Gadi Eisenkot (Ishr Party) is in second place with 49 seats. The Joint List and Ream, the two Arab parties participating in the elections, won 17 seats. Thus, none of the parties and coalitions, at least so far, has been able to obtain the necessary majority to form a government in the Knesset (the Israeli parliament).
