Nasser Amani, a member of the Tehran City Council, criticized the city administration's performance in protecting the Chitgar Forest Park, and demanded an answer from the director general of the Tehran Parks and Green Areas Organization for the extensive drying and pollution of the trees in this park. Referring to the drying and contamination of about 30,000 trees in Chittagong and a review of the performance of the city management complex, Amani said that at least 40 months from the current period, there were opportunities for more effective monitoring of the crisis. According to him, trees that died due to neglect and lack of care are now being cut down, a situation he described as "execution of trees" and "tree massacre". This city council member apologized to the residents of Tehran by accepting the existence of deficiencies in various periods of municipal administration and said: "I apologize to all the people for all the deficiencies and all the failures in all the periods, to the residents of Tehran, whose two large breathing lungs we destroyed."
