Wildlife road casualties are one of the most serious threats to animal species in Iran. In another example, from 2009 to April 1402, at least 9 Iranian cheetahs died due to road accidents in the area of the Miami-Sabzbar road and related roads in Samnan province. Environmental experts see measures such as fencing high-risk routes, creating safe crossings for wildlife, installing warning signs and reducing the speed of cars in the area of animal habitats as solutions to reduce these losses.
