According to AFP, during the anti-government protests in Tirana, the capital of Albania, there were violent clashes between protesters and police forces. From the published videos it appears that several protesters attacked the ranks of the security officers using fireworks and directly throwing incendiary materials. Anti-riot police forces also used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters. These marches, which began with students and demonstrators against administrative corruption and education costs, and expanded to demand the resignation of Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Albania, turned violent in recent days and led to the arrest of dozens of people and injuries to several demonstrators and police forces.
