Former US President Barack Obama criticized the performance of Donald Trump in the war with Iran and questioned the military and economic consequences of this conflict on Saturday, November 2, at an election rally in Cleveland, Ohio, saying that seven months have passed since the start of the war, American forces have been killed and wounded, American missile reserves have decreased on the Straz and Iranian influence on the Straz. Referring to the Trump administration's declaration of victory in the first months of the war, Obama said: "It's been seven months; six months since they declared victory. Remember they said this is the best war in history and everything is going great. Now, seven months later, how is this war progressing? ".
The former US president added: "Our allies and our military bases have been attacked. Americans were killed, hundreds of Americans were injured, and our missile reserves were depleted."
He also pointed to the situation of the Strait of Hormuz and said: "Iran now actually has a right of veto over the Strait of Hormuz, the route through which oil is transported to world markets."
In another part of his speech, Obama referred to the increase in the prices of oil and other goods to the consequences of the war with Iran and emphasized: "This is the reason why the price of oil went up. No one doubts that. Because of this, the price of diesel fuel went up and the price of almost everything went up."
The former US president also criticized Trump's decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal in 2015, saying his administration prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons through diplomacy. In this context, Obama said: "Iran did not have a nuclear weapon because I implemented an agreement that everyone recognized as preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon." I didn't even have to fire a missile for it; I just had to use diplomacy.
