In the midst of speculation in the media regarding the possibility of the renewal of the war between Iran and the US, Tasnim, a news agency affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, claimed on Saturday night, citing an "informed source", that the news about Tehran's proposal to Washington regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is "a lie and a fantasy". This source claimed: "The news of Al-Arabiya media that Iran offered America to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the lifting of the naval blockade is a lie and a fantasy. Basically, Iran does not accept any equation based on the Strait of Hormuz against the blockade. Rather, Iran circumvents the blockade with its own methods and will eventually break through it." This source said: "As the Iranian authorities have clearly stated, Iran's decisive position is the 7 conditions that it has officially announced through intermediaries, and any other media speculation or fantasy about this has no value. In the past, Iran's seven-day plan, including Iran's demands to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, was transferred to the American side, and until all the demands of the Islamic Republic are met, one of which is the removal of disruptions in Iran's ports and shipping, the insecurity imposed by the US in the Strait of Hormuz will not be resolved. Iran did not present any new proposal to the Pakistani mediator.
In the past, Al-Arabiya reported, citing its sources, that Tehran informed Pakistan that it was ready to resume negotiations with Washington. According to these sources, the authorities in Tehran also presented a proposal to the US government through Pakistan, according to which Iran agrees to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the lifting of the American blockade on its ports.
