Estonia will raise the question of its participation in the Olympic Games due to the return of the Russians to international sports. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country, Margos Tshakana. In an interview with the local newspaper Dever, he said that now "they are looking for various pretexts to return the Russians to culture, sports and the Olympic Games". Tshkhana called it a serious problem. In the past, Estonia was denied the right to host the European Fencing Championships due to the refusal to issue visas to Russian and Belarusian athletes. The competition was moved to France.
