The Attorney General's Office demanded from the former head of the Sverdlovsk branch of the "Passport and Visa Service" of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation, Alexander Loknin, to take away 52 real estate properties registered in his name and his family members. According to the supervisory authority, Loknin organized a business for the processing of documents for immigrants, which brought in more than 1.2 billion rubles to companies associated with him.
The context: in the past Loknin acted as a defender of the rights of immigrants. He headed the FSUE "PVS" branch of the Ministry of the Interior in 2011, and in 2024 he was arrested on charges of abuse of power. He denies his guilt and claims that he purchased the properties even before entering the civil service.
