At 1000 PM CDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone

Isaias was located near latitude 35.0 North, longitude 86.7 West.

The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the north-northeast near 16 mph

(26 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 25 mph (35 km/h) with higher gusts.

Little change in strength is expected during the next 24-36 hours

before the cyclone is absorbed by another low pressure system to

its east.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1009 mb (29.80 inches).

RAINFALL: Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches with

isolated maximum amounts of 10 inches are possible across

the southern Appalachians from western North Carolina into western Virginia. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches

are possible across the Florida Big Bend and northwest Florida bringing

storm totals to near 12 inches. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches

with isolated maximum amounts of 6 inches are possible near

the Carolina coasts.

BULLETIN: , Urban and river flooding is possible across the region, with

significant impacts, including landslides, possible across the area

Southern Appalachians. Significant river flooding across the west

Florida Panhandle will evolve today through Sunday.

TORNADOES: A few tornadoes are possible tonight across the east

Georgia and the Carolinas. Wind: Strong wind gusts continue to pose a threat across the area

Southeastern United States today, especially near the South

Appalachians. Scattered power outages and fallen trees and

Power lines may occur, with the risk being highest in high terrain.

SURF: Waves from Isaias will continue to affect much of the area

Gulf coasts of the United States, Mexico and western Cuba this

weekend. These swells can cause life-threatening surf and
