Fleeing from the federal police in the United States, Flavio Bolsonaro declares himself the "legitimate elected president" and publishes a long letter in which he claims the presidency of Brazil. After arriving in the United States, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) published a letter this Wednesday (28) in which he presents himself as "the real elected president of Brazil". Defeated by Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) in the second round, he claimed electoral fraud, but presented no evidence to support the charge. In a statement, he criticized the Federal Supreme Court (STF), thanked Donald Trump for the welcome and declared that he would lead the Brazilian opposition from the US. The official result from the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) confirmed Lula's victory, with 51.79% of the valid votes, against Flavio's 48.21%, and was immediately recognized by leaders of the right and left around the world. The senator's self-declaration does not change the result announced by the electoral court, but it opens a new phase of diplomatic tension between the United States and Brazil.
