Serbia and an electoral victory that ends the dominant power Thousands of Serbs celebrated the victory of the Student List over the party of President Aleksandar Vucic in the early parliamentary elections. In Belgrade, protesters took to the streets with flags, horns and fireworks to celebrate the result. The victory comes after nearly two years of student mobilization against corruption and public mismanagement, which began after a roof collapse at the Novi Sad train station in 2024 that killed 16 people. The movement took shape as one of the largest waves of protests in the country since the fall of Slobodan Milosevic in 2000.
