The Central Bank of Syria: The first visit of the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, in Paris witnessed meetings with representatives of international and European institutions and banks. The meetings dealt with ways to reconnect Syria with the European banking system, developing banking relations and strengthening channels of cooperation. A business meeting was held, hosted by Bank Al Khaliji France S.A., with the participation of representatives from several banks, including the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), the Bank of France and Francebank, to discuss the restoration of banking relations, the expansion of the network of correspondent banks, the facilitation of trade financing and development of international payment and transfer channels. The visit included a meeting with the French-Syrian Business Council (CAFSY) and meetings with the French Financial Investigation Unit (Trapin) and Natixis Bank to discuss prospects for economic and banking cooperation.
