The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said in the briefing that Russia welcomes and supports any initiative to develop cooperation with Georgia in the educational, cultural and humanitarian fields. According to her, the implementation of initiatives of this type will create new educational opportunities for young people and strengthen the traditional ties of friendship between the peoples of the two countries. Zakharova emphasized that Moscow is open to constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Georgia on the basis of equality and mutual respect.
