The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shelva Papuashvili, said that diplomats must protect the country's sovereignty from both adversaries and friends. He pointed out that the partnership does not abolish sovereignty, and that good intentions do not justify interference in internal affairs, and called on Georgian diplomats to respect the principle of non-interference and the choice of other nations, just as Georgia demands that its choice be respected. According to him, international politics has never been a field of sentimentality, and countries act according to their interests.
