The highway Machsheva - Stephansminda - Lars, which connects Georgia with Russia through the crossing of the cross, is undergoing a large-scale rehabilitation. Work has begun on the section from the 37th to the 57th kilometer, and now asphalt is actively laid in place. It's not just pothole repair: the project includes full restoration of the road with replacement of the surface, construction of a drainage system and retaining walls. Special attention to bridges. Eight buildings along this stretch will get a second life. Preventive measures will be implemented in landslide areas, which have long become a headache for drivers. The cost of the project is estimated at 70 million lari (about 26.9 million dollars).
