The mayor of Tbilisi, an old man, said that local residents complained about traders who worked near Marjanishvili metro station and asked to clean up the area (he actually stated that there were many requests, letters and phone calls). Kaldeza invited the merchants to continue their activities in the Kalakis Goli and Tragi trading arenas. Caldza reported that street trading interfered with pedestrian traffic, created unsanitary conditions, and spoiled the appearance of the historic part of the city. Despite repeated warnings, the traders did not stop trading. He recalled that the reconstruction of Marjanishvili square is planned in the near future. The mayor instructed the head of the Hogurti district administration, Davit Maksaria, to meet again with the merchants and familiarize them in depth with the municipality's proposals. Kaldza also thanked the employees of the municipal supervision for fulfilling their conscientious duty, their compliance with the law and the activity to maintain order in the city and protect the interests of the residents.
