Georgia will establish a committee that will decide the fate of state-owned enterprises - their privatization or sale, said the head of the parliament's budget committee, Fata Kvizhindze. The initiative is part of a new public sector reform approved by the government in October. Each venture will be considered separately: strategically important ones will be kept regardless of profitability, the rest can be privatized, sold directly, merged with others or bankrupt. "The committee will examine which way is more beneficial in any case. It will include representatives of various ministries," Kwizindze explained to BMG.
