During nine months, electricity consumption in Georgia increased by 2.6% - to 10.9 billion kWh. Growth was stronger at the beginning of the year and slowed down in the summer due to climate conditions. Exports to Turkey decreased by 51%: the reason was a drop in prices in the Turkish market and an increase in local production. Electricity production decreased by 0.7% to 10.3 billion kWh. Renewable sources covered 74% of consumption, the rest was provided by imports and heat production.
