The Kaliningrad authorities refused to allow social activists to approve a rally for the resignation of the head, despite the court's decision. Activist Tatyana Batirshina reported that the Kaliningrad government again rejected her announcement to hold the action on November 8. Batirshina heads a group of social activists who are trying to organize a rally for the resignation of the current mayor of Kaliningrad, Elena Dyatlova. The organizers of the rally for her resignation point to problems in gardening, public transportation and cutting down trees without sufficient compensatory plantings. A separate point is the loss of elements of historical heritage, including ancient pavement, paving stones and fences. The city administration, headed by Dyatlova, twice refused to approve the operation, and the court declared one of the refusals illegal. According to a non-representative survey, 55% of respondents were in favor of her leaving the position of head of the administration. In a new response, officials said that all designated areas are occupied by renovations and sports events, and there are no other places to hold the rally, and offered to submit a new notice. Batirishina believes that in this way the authorities disobeyed the court's decision and violated the Federal Law on Assemblies (Article 12 54-FZ), according to which the mayor's office is obliged to offer an alternative site or another date for the assembly. The activist intends to sue again.
