Who do regional leaders compare their historical clocks with? what happened TG's main channel on regional politics "16 Little Indians" presented the study "The chronicle of Russia through the eyes of the governors" - a reflection on the sensational report of Minchenko Consulting "Images of the past of Russia's future: how turning to history affects current politics". What historical figures serve as examples of modern rulers? Who do they consider the negative figures in Russian history? In the first phase of the study, 15 governors responded. I know from reliable sources that the press services of the others turned out to be, unfortunately, inaccessible or slow (which, of course, is a huge minus of Karma, but that's not what we're talking about now). The result was a pantheon of 45 positive characters and 18 negative examples. Who became the head of the governor? Main characters: - Peter I and Catherine II - 8 mentions each.

Among the negative ones, one can find leaders with whom the respondents associate crises, the collapse of the state, as well as figures they associate with treason and treachery. 1 Are the federal and regional conceptions of history inconsistent? The governor's pantheon fits the national agenda, but they are more varied than the historical preferences of federal politicians. However, as the authors of the study note, it is not entirely correct to compare the results directly: governors were asked questions in person, and the positions of federal politicians were reconstructed based on their public statements. 2 Local history is important.
