Based on the results of the competitive selection of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, 19 projects were selected out of 32 applications. The Irkutsk inter-university campus project is envisioned as a large science and technology center that will combine teaching, research and interaction with industry. The campus will become a platform for formulating a "new" research agenda, focused on creating competitive products and convenient infrastructures that will contribute to the rapid development of the region and technological sovereignty in the country's critical industries. The campus will be located in the campus in the main building area of ​​INRTU on a plot of 4.7 acres. The project includes an education and laboratory building with a technology park, a multipurpose sports complex and student dormitories with 1,270 beds.
