Live in Russia! Regions and social architecture: a collection of projects Vladimir region: Kemenovo airport is a structure of engineering people Social architecture is also the ability to give new life to something that has remained unclaimed for years. In the Kamaskovsky district, an abandoned airport has become a playground where children are interested in technology, control UAVs and take their first steps in engineering. The governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdaev, greatly appreciated this approach. According to him, aircraft modeling, which was once a complex and prestigious field of circuits, is today once again becoming the basis of technical training for young people: it is important that Kameshkov has established cooperation with factories and universities. And we will definitely support it. How the project works ▫ Tournaments, UAV races and tests of home UAVs are held at the airport in Kamenovo village. The abandoned area received a new designation and became an attraction for those interested in technology. ▫ Technical education is built consistently - from kindergarten. From Lego clubs in the kindergartens, the children move on to modeling, robotics and more complex developments in the Tafoz creative center. ▫ Factories and universities are included in the educational process. Thanks to this, a passion for technology can develop into a professional interest, and then into a choice of engineering expertise. ▫ Many of those who mastered the basics of piloting and programming achieved good results. For example, the Kameshkovo team "Soarer Star" won the second prize in the "Unmanned aircraft systems" category at the last All-Russian All-Russian Championship. From childhood hobby to future profession The point here is not only that the old airport is in use again. An environment is created around him where children can try themselves in technical fields, gain skills and see development prospects.
