The Ministry for Digital Development has developed recommendations for the protection of data centers against UAVs The industrial headquarters of the Ministry for Digital Development has approved recommendations for the comprehensive protection of data processing centers against UAVs and other airborne threats. They apply to existing, under construction and designed facilities throughout Russia. Data centers were divided into three categories based on importance: from strategic facilities, the failure of which could disrupt key government functions within an hour, to organizational centers without wide-ranging consequences for the country. The recommendations include strengthening buildings, using electronic warfare and additional protection systems, and reducing the visibility of installations operating from the air. Separate requirements concern the protection of equipment, cooling and power supplies against shock waves and fractures. It is also proposed to reserve critical services, create a unified situation center and create interaction between the operators of the data center and the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Russian National Guard and the emergency services.
