On Friday, US President Donald Trump met at the White House with Steven Hubbard, an American recently released from a Russian prison. The meeting took place in the Oval Office in the presence of journalists. The US president called Hubbard "a special person" who "has been through a lot". At the meeting, Stephen Hubbard said that although some guards at the Russian prison sympathized with him, he was losing hope that he would ever be able to return home. Hubbard once again thanked President Donald Trump and all US government employees who managed to secure his release and return to his homeland.
