The Russian and Ukrainian delegations met on the morning of October 29 at Gomel Airport. They came to Belarus to carry out a humanitarian operation in the Ukrainian city of Oleshki (Alyushki) which was occupied by the Russian army. Representatives of Ukraine arrived on the territory of Belarus through the Novaya Gota checkpoint. The Ukrainian delegation is accompanied by American journalists as independent observers.
