Federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York have charged Russian-born Anna Mochalova, 32, with hate crimes. Mokhlova is accused of attacking two Jews. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 21, in what is known as the "Diamond District" of Manhattan, where many jewelry stores are located. In the evening of that day Mokhlova was arrested.
