CNN reports that Israel's chief of staff warned his American counterpart that an attack on Iran now could disrupt the election. The elections in Israel are scheduled for tomorrow, October 27, while the midterms in the US will be held on November 3. Polls show that Netanyahu may lose the election, but he will remain prime minister until a new government is formed, usually around 60 days. During this time, his government could still authorize war with Iran or try to establish an emergency government.
