What are the double envelopes in Israeli elections?
As a result of the three-year war, the Central Election Commission had an unprecedented number of duplicate envelopes. In the 2022 elections, 460,000 Israelis voted in double envelopes. In these elections, the number is expected to reach 650,000 voters. The reasons for this are the presence of a large number of soldiers in reserve service, and the presence of numbers of displaced Israelis from the settlements in the north and the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip.
