At least 1,300 people were arrested on the sidelines of protests across France on Saturday and at least 50 police officers and three protesters were injured, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday. The arrests came as clashes erupted on the sidelines of largely peaceful protests in major cities over the cost of living.
