Slovenia rejects the bill that was hit by Prime Minister Jens Jansa's reform agenda

Slovenians rejected in a referendum on Sunday a bill to expand parliamentary investigative powers, dealing a blow to nationalist Prime Minister Janez Jansa. With 99 percent of the votes counted, 51 percent opposed the proposal and 49 percent supported it in the binding vote. The opposition condemned his reform agenda as "authoritarian".
