Morocco and Senegal await AFCON's final verdict after an arbitration hearing

On Thursday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport held a long-awaited hearing in Lausanne, as the Supreme Court of Sport considered Senegal's appeal against the decision to award Morocco this year's Africa Cup of Nations title. While Senegal won the match on the pitch in Rabat ten months ago, the Confederation of African Football annulled the result as the Taranga Lions left the pitch in protest mid-match before returning. The panel of three judges is expected to issue a verdict soon.
