UK police make arrests, evacuate homes in 'major incident' near air base used by US forces

British police said they evacuated homes on Sunday near Fairford air base in southwest England, which is used by the US Air Force, and arrested several men on suspicion of explosives offences. Fairford, in Gloucestershire, was used by the US to launch operations against Iran.
