ICC convicts Central African Republic rebel leader of crimes against humanity

The International Criminal Court on Wednesday convicted the former militia commander of the Central African Republic, Mahamat Said Abdel Kani, of torture and illegal imprisonment. Said oversaw a detention center in the capital Bangui notorious for its brutal conditions during the country's sectarian civil war.
