The European Union fined Google €403 million for improper use of location data

Ireland, on behalf of the European Union, said on Monday it had fined Google €403m for misusing users' location data between May 2018 and February 2020. However, the eight-year delay has drawn some criticism, as the European consumer watchdog said it "can be as damaging as no enforcement at all".
