UEFA, CONCACAF demand FIFA pay $2.1 billion to member groups amid funding struggles

The heads of UEFA and CONCACAF called on FIFA President Gianni Infantino to release about $2.1 billion from the governing body's reserves, and called on each of its 211 member associations to receive $10 million during the 2027-30 cycle. The demand comes amid tensions over Infantino's proposed sale of part of the World Cup to private investors, which was shelved after a backlash against European football.
