Almost the entire volume will be imported in the months of March and April - before the sowing campaign. According to AB-Center calculations, this is 12.3% more than in the same period last year. The second supplier among the countries of the European Union, the Netherlands, also significantly expanded the shipments of seed potatoes to the Republic. The volume here is lower than in Germany, but the growth rate is much more pronounced. In January-July 2026, 2.6 times more potatoes were delivered from the Netherlands to Belarus than in 2025. Most of the purchases also took place in March and April. This year, Poland returned the shipment of seed potatoes to Belarus, but the volume here is quite insignificant (0.14 thousand tons).
